Why do we call degasser the 2nd purification equipment?

It's set behind shale shaker but prior to desander or mud cleaner. The vacuum degasser holding different sizes and different treating capacity. The model number APZCQ 270 means the degasser can handle fluids mixed with gas up to 270m³/h. Users can select the proper degasser according to practical demand

The material of vacuum degasser can be common carbon steel or the H₂S resistant steel. At some drilling sites, there is no ignitor connected directly to gas vent port, but at some drilling sites, such as a gas field or shale gas drilling the vacuum degasser is connected with ignition device via a line to make sure the gas can be burned safely.

Vacuum degassers are not operated continuously. As the entrained gas quantity is not as large as the gas flow out of the choke manifold or the elevating pipe. We can turn it on when entrained gas raise.
