A submersible slurry pump for mud transfer. which is normally used for feeding shale shakers for CBM, HDD. It also can be used as a feeding pump for decanter centrifuge. Usually, we use a single stage and single suction system. The standard length of the pump 1 3m, but it can be customized per the user demand.

The vertical submersible slurry pump is well used for drilling mud transfer from mud pit to mud equipment or mud storage tank. The vertical design allows mud suction points installed into drilling mud and all bearings are above fluids to make pump-free maintenance. A protection cover fixed on mud suction point to stop solids or larger particles from being sucked into the pump.

How to select the submersible slurry pump?

For the pump feeding centrifuge, we need to consider the centrifuge flow rate. For the pump feeding shaker in the HDD mud system, we should consider the whole mud system flow rate. And then the submersible length is another issue affects configuration or design. We can supply a pump to meet submersible depth up to 3m. How to achieve this? By extension pipe connected to the input port.
Drilling fluids are transferred to desilter cones by a centrifugal pump from the desander tank or compartment. Desilter cone is fed by desilter pump with fluids out of desander. Under pump pressure, the fluids run into cones and flow with centrifugal force. Then the heavy particles will deposit down and pushed out of the cone drop in Apex. Particles larger than 15 microns will be separated out of drilling mud.

If pump installs onto mud tank, there is a level plate on pump under motor, the plate is designed to bolted on tank top. The pump can be installed into mud pit as well with a built simple platform to bolt the pump level plate. The vertical design is maximized to reduce it’s footprint especially when it’s installed on tank top.
